So fragile.

Blood will flow down the rainbow,
when flesh and bone mesh,
maybe the rain will wash the stains,
but the memory will never lessen.

In my mind will always stay,
your sight, your beauty, my desire,
even when I,  in decay,
shed this earthly husk and life.

We are born beneath an angry star
we should not forget how fragile we are.

The meaning of this act was meant
to be a beacon for you to follow,
to clinch to this man’s argument
that not all love is hollow.

Nothing comes from violence
and nothing ever could,
not you, not me, alone, together,
but maybe from love, if we only would.

And rain will fall like tears from a star
telling us how fragile we are.

There is truth in beauty,
truth in the lines that sculpt your face,
but your love is a lie to me,
a destitute of grace.

And the star looks upon from afar
shedding tears like falling rain
telling us how fragile we are
forever apart, in vain.

The great unknown.

Off into the distance peering,
seeing past and future and then some,
a gentle fog at twilight's rearing,
waiting for the morrow's come.

Off into the twilight peering,
feel where heart and soul connect,
on the edge of hoping, fearing,
not knowing what brings morrow next.

Off into the distance peering,
where the seeds of life are sown
but the growth is hard and weary,
never knowing what is known.

Off into the twilight peering,
to see if past and future shown
wondering, hoping, doubting, fearing,
sight into the great unknown.
