Another day

Another day is coming closer
the clock is reaching six and twelve
I’m waiting for the dark to brighten
and I'm waiting for myself.

I'm trying to catch up to you
please don’t leave me here behind
I’m looking for a soul out there
but only darkness do I find.

Waiting for the day to break
after a disappointing yesterday
I don’t remember all I did
but I know that I will pay.

There is a lie in every truth
a thorn on every rose
but luckily the dark now brightens
