I
The siren sings
a song of wonder
but she has no hunger
for my kiss...
Through waves she dives
her song yet lingers
and I'm left to wonder
what I miss...
"O siren fine
come and haunt me
sing your song
and give me bliss..."
"You are the only
one that moves me
though that life
and though all this..."
"Your siren's song
for that I long
a touch of love
a gentle kiss..."
The song dies down
on silent wind
so never that
and never this...
And so I'll never
feel the wonder
of your lingering
siren's kiss...

II
never given
... and the sirens sing their melodious songs,
to make me long for kisses never given …
... from your lips to the tumultuous skies,
flies the whispering breath that I will never hear …
... just a beat from a heart filled with sadness and love,
never pounding with mine in one rhythm …
... the embrace of your sensual body never felt on my skin,
never close, never near ...
