Let us wait for the tide to turn
what do you fear?
What is worse than poverty?
The nice tastes of richdom.
They will spoil you
and lead you from your way.
It was quite a party
do you like that girl?
She has been very good to me
and yet she was very handsome.
With her to drown in eyes
and a brain to match mine.
There is nothing hidden about me
you will find me in my study
and I am most amazingly strong
in my own weak way.
Cause I carry my wearies on my shoulders
much like Atlas did the world.
What a singular thing!
How sweet and kind of you!
To tell me you have never
seen the likes of me before.
But then do tell me what has happened
with the world we live in.
But tell me truly now
can't you think of anything else
to say about me as I can say about you?
That it is very strange.
Cause I thought myself more deep
then the thoughts that define me.
Let us wait for the tide to turn
there is nothing to fear
I maybe poor in riches
but I am rich in thought
Even though they spoil me
and lead me from my way.
